Al’Fez Spiced Tomato and Herb Lamb Potato Bake
1 Red onion
400g Minced lamb
1 tbsp of olive oil
1 Bunch of fresh mint
Potato Gratin Top
4 Baking potatoes
½ Pint double cream
115g Grated cheese
1 Knob of butter
Salt and ground pepper for seasoning
Slice the potatoes in half and boil until tender. Drain and leave to cool. Boil carrots until soft. Preheat oven to 160 degrees (fan assisted). Brown lamb, garlic, onions, add boiled carrots and Al’Fez Spiced Tomato & Herb Tagine Sauce, season and simmer for 10 minutes.
Place the ingredients into an oven proof dish, slice the potatoes into layers and layer the slices over the mince. Pour over double cream and top with grated cheese and breadcrumbs. Place in the oven and cook for 25 minutes until brown. Garnish with Mint.
Serving Suggestion: Serve with warm bread and vegetables.
